A secret story? Empire State Building New York City, NY

Welcome to another five minute journey.  Do you know which floor of the Empire State Building is the secret floor? 

Back in 1928 this is what the site looked like where the Empire State Building is today. It used to be the Waldorf Astoria on 5th avenue. And in 1930 on St Patricks day March 17 the construction for the Empire State Building began. They finished the 102 story building in only 1 year and 45 days and officially opened on May 1 1931 as the Empire State Building was constructed at 381 M, taller than the Chrysler building which was the tallest building at 318M after overtaking the Eiffel Tower in Paris France, 312 M. In feet those three buildings are (1250ft, 1046ft, and 1024ft).   2 years later in 1933 King Kong stole the show Creating iconic images.  

After a few revisions and staying the worlds tallest building until 1970 when the former World Trade Center overtook the tallest building spot.  While The Empire State Building was originally built with 102 stories the Secret Floor is the 103rd There’s a narrow passageway near the top above floor 102.  

The building survived a B52 Bomber running into it causing an elevator accident dropping the elevators’ 70 stories and rumors have it that there may be some occasional haunting in the old building due to a variety of factors.  On the 4th July the Empire State Building has it’s beautiful lights on at night to celebrate the American flag.
