Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween 2023

Welcome to another FiveMinuteJourney! Today we’re covering Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween 2023 celebration at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Theme Park.  Tickets are sold separately from regular park entry and are priced according to the day.  The 2023 celebration runs from  August 11 through November 1 and tickets can go up to $199.00 per person 10 and up or 189 for ages 3-9.

The event closes Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdom Theme Park early and allows ticketholders to enter the park in a special way with unique wristbands and costumes are encouraged!  The celebration has special features and loads of fun with color schemes, lights, fixtures and one of my personal favorites, special treats.  In years past the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween celebration gave out free waters and mickey ice cream bars, the 2023 celebration did not do the same but still provided bags for trick-or-treating at various designated locations around the park.

Maps are provided with instructions and the park is open late.  The parade is must see and while I, personally, usually see the parades in passing this one was special with shovel scraping the asphalt producing sparks and a headless horseman along with all the favorite Disney Villains, Heros and Princesses. The Space Mountain Ride had a special feature, even during the day where all lights were off and the sounds were different than the usual ride offers.

The Castle had Halloween lights and the people crowding the park with magical moments themselves were part of the joy with their costumes and Disney traditions.  The Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Celebration event is a great tradition for Halloween lovers to enjoy.
