Orlando's Universal Studios
Orlando’s Universal Studios Theme Park
Welcome to Another FiveMinuteJourney! If you’ve ever been to Orlando’s Universal Studios You’ll remember the fun walkway after crossing through the expansive parking garage with some your favorite characters like, spider-man, E.T., Jurassic Park, King Kong, and Dr. Seuss’ Cat in the Hat. On the autowalk or travelator you catch a glimpse of a the Haunting of Ghostly Greens Miniature golf and Invaders from Planet Putt with a giant space worm to the right. After walking through the City-Walk passing a movie theatre, Cinnabon Voodoo Donuts and several other places to stop and shop and eat. TO the right is Universal Studios and to the left is Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
Universal Studios Theme park offers rides within close proximity early on in the park along with some quick stop shopping experiences near the entrance. As you enter the park it’s easy to get to the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit listening to great tunes as you ride and loop around. The new MinionBlast shooting adventure is well made as you interact on a standing platform moving you through video game screens to aim at various targets collecting powerups. This took the place of a former Shrek ride. Also along the initial walkway are Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, then Revenge of the Mummy, Transformers 3D, The Harry Potter Land with a whole world and a train station to the rest of the Land (keep in mind if you visit in order to ride the train you need the pass to both parks) and within the Harry Potter world is the Forbidden Journey ride, a chance to taste the delicious Butter Beer (not an alcoholic drink) featured in the movie and catch the flame breathing dragon by Diagon-Alley. Around the back bend of the park you can find the Fast and Furious 2D ride, Men in Black Alien Attack, the Simpsons ride and you can get gigantic Donuts then up to the E.T Ride, a classic and personal favorite.
